Trade that develops

Changing the world does not need to be difficult. You can enjoy a delicious Fair Trade Original wine from Argentina or Chile, and as you do so appreciate the fact that the wine growers also benefit; or you can drink a fragrant cup of Guatemala Antigua Coffee, and at the same time realize that you are offering the coffee farmer an opportunity to create a reasonable life for him or herself.

The farmers and producers in Latin America are hard at work on producing high-quality products that appeal to us, the Western consumers – products with that additional authentic touch or special detail that makes the difference. Examples include crockery as colourful as Ecuador's culture, or special glassware made from recycled glass in Bolivia.

Latin-American producers, like Dutch entrepreneurs, wish for a happy and prosperous life. Like us, they also wish to provide a roof for their families, feed their children, and send them to school. And, when necessary, they also wish to be able to pay for medical care. Fair Trade Original helps them do so by conducting trade that develops.
